5 Ways To Get More Out of Life

It’s not a big secret, Americans are glum about their futures.  A recent Pew Research Study shows that most Americans are worried about money, their futures, and the direction of the country.  All of this makes for a pretty gloomy outlook on life.  However many of us are doing what we can to pull ourselves out of this funk.

At $10.4 Billion (with a B), the self-help market show no signs of decline.  We are all looking for a solution to what troubles us.  And we are willing to spend LOTS of money on the problem.

But I would argue that much of that money is wasted and we would be better served by following a simple plan to not only pull ourselves out of the emotional tailspin, but to really get the most out of our daily lives.

What You Think Will Become Your Reality

“What you think will become your reality.”

— Pat Williams

It’s rare that you get to be in the presence of true greatness.  There are several great politicians, celebrities and sports starts, but there are only a handful of Jordans, DeNiros, and Churchills.  But when you get to spend time learning from a TRUE person of greatness, it’s a life-changing event.

Recently I was blessed to be under the teaching of Pat Williams, basketball Hall-of-Famer, co-founder and senior vice president of the NBA’s Orlando Magic, and one of America’s top motivational speakers.

He was remarkable; full of energy and brimming with excitement for life.  It was contagious and inspiring.  But there was on specific question he asked that really made a tremendous impact on me.

You Are Awesome

You are awesome. No matter what anyone else says, thinks, or does…you are awesome.

Do you know that? Do you believe it?

You should.  Because if you don’t believe you are awesome, your clients never will.

You have to believe that you are awesome so that every phone call, chat, email, and text will be filled with you and your awesome-ness.  And when THAT happens, people will respond.

And they will respond to YOU, not the price, the service, or the product.  You.If you feel like you have something you need to learn to become MORE awesome, learn it.  But never forget…no matter what….

You. Are. Awesome.

Weekly Wrap-Up

It was a busy week for me…lots of projects.  But the really funny thing was, no matter how busy I was, I got up early enough to have my quiet time and plan my day out.  And I still got most everything done.  It’s amazing how prioritizing you day, and the BEGINNING of you day, can have a tremendous effect on the END of your day.

I am very excited about a new project that I am working on with my friend Lou Carfizzi.  It’s going to be an incredible help to lots of people.  It revolves around stress and even though we cannot eliminate it all together, we can manage it.  I will make an announcement soon.

I am also very excited about Thanksgiving this week.  What are you thankful for?  We will be inviting friends over who don’t have family close by and need a place to “be” on Thanksgiving.  If you are in Orlando and are looking for a GREAT dinner… contact me!

Have a GREAT week and remember to CHOOSE to be awesome.
